Middle School

Preparing for the Future: Middle School is a Launching Pad
The St. Hilary School middle grades (4-6) focus on cross-curricular learning.
Students move from classroom to classroom, and departmentalized learning
allows the students to stretch into more independent experiences with a
more rigorous curriculum. All of this is necessary because the middle grades
are the formative years. Instruction is imbedded in the common core
curriculum and academic preparation is geared to meet the challenges of the
upper grades. A variety of instructional methods are implemented so that
the needs of all types of learning styles can be accommodated.
    Programs Include:
•Curriculum Rooted in the Common Core
•Accelerated Math Program (providing instant feedback on objective mastery)
•Accelerated Reading (to augment the Reading Program)
•CAMPS program (Computer, Art, Music, P.E., Spanish)
    •Battle of the Books
•Sports Programs (Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Cheerleading)
    •After School Homework Help
    •Schola, Choir, Handbells, Band
    •Earth Savers and Green Team
    •Student Council
    •Rocket Club
