Earth Savers

The Earth Savers program is a project designed to make students more aware of their role in creating a cleaner and healthier environment. The fourth graders at St. Hilary are responsible for keeping St. Hilary property litter-free. In addition, the Earth Savers gain the satisfaction of learning how to be good neighbors to community businesses by cleaning the sidewalk and parkway areas on Lincoln Avenue and California Avenue. The students wear protective gloves and stuff garbage bags with litter strewn about on walkways and behind bushes. This cleanup effort is planned regularly throughout the year, depending on weather conditions. The Earth Savers is a program that teaches community spirit and cooperation.
